# Booking a Haircut in English: Asking for the Same Stylist

_The Unscript team · October 11, 2026_

You want a haircut after work this week, with the stylist you saw last time. These four lines help you find a time, check who the appointment is with, and say you only want a cut.

### What to say when booking

> **You:** Sometime this week, after work.

When the salon asks **When would you like to come in?**, give a window that works for you. **Sometime this week** leaves the day open; **after work** narrows the search to a convenient part of the day. You have not agreed on a specific appointment yet.

> **You:** Is that with the same stylist?

The salon offers Thursday at six. **That** refers to the appointment just offered, and **the same stylist** means the person who cut your hair before. You can check who is available as well as when.

> **You:** Perfect, she knows my hair.

The answer is **With Anna, yes.** Here, **Perfect** accepts the arrangement, and **she knows my hair** explains why you are happy with it. It means she is familiar with your hair, not that she already knows which style you want today.

> **You:** Just a cut this time.

The salon asks **Just a cut, or colour as well?** Use **just** to limit the service to a haircut. **This time** describes this visit; you do not need to explain your plans for future appointments.

### Now say it yourself

Cover the English and say these four ideas aloud: suggest a time after work this week / ask whether it is with your previous stylist / say she is familiar with your hair / ask for a cut only on this visit.

This conversation is free in Unscript. Practise with the full script, then let the prompts fade: [Open “Booking an Appointment”](/scenes/hair-book/).
